What is Aquaculture?
Aquaculture is the branch of agriculture that farms aquatic organisms. Aquaculture encompasses a very diverse group of organisms compared to terrestrial farming. Just like land-based farming, it includes both plants and animals. However, unlike terrestrial farming that raises exclusively vertebrate animal species, aquaculture raises vertebrate, invertebrate, multicellular, and single cellular.
RAS System Experts
The methods of farming are also very diverse. L S Enterprise LLC focuses almost exclusively on Recirculating Aquaculture Systems that are commonly referred to as RAS. RAS are similar in concept to aquariums except they are much, much bigger. A large home aquarium might be 55 gallons. A small hobby-sized RAS would be 2500 gallons while large commercial installations can be millions of gallons.
